About Me

Welcome to my debut feature film 'A Boy Called George', a Jigsaw Productions feature film which is currently in development. As the writer of this film I wanted to make the film as authentic as possible so I have set up this blog for those who would like to track the development of the film, but also to share memories and stories (and photos if you dare!) with other bloggers about growing up during the 80's especially around the Glasgow area during the summer of 1982 - how could we forget Scotland's triumphant qualification to the World Cup! I am looking for information and stories about the types of fashions you wore, games you played, clubs you went to, television, music - especially about the New Romantics (did you burst into tears everytime Duran Duran appeared on TOTPS?!) and of course your reactions to a new artist on the scene - Boy George. His sexual ambiguity was being debated by all in livingrooms around the world! Please feel free to jot down any random stories or memories you want to share! Thanks guys!

I've been told that NightMoves in Glasgow was a cool place to hang out in the early 1980's. Does anyone remember this club? Or Coasters in Edinburgh was where we had a rollerskating disco! I remember all the girls getting dressed up to head down to Coasters on a Saturday afternoon.
